The SMART Robotics Technician Program at Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy

The SMART Robotics Technician Program is Carnegie Mellon’s renowned pre-apprenticeship program. It has also earned the ARM Endorsement for meeting the highest standards set by the robotics industry.

The Mechatronics Technology Program is a one-year certification course that lays the groundwork for a successful career in robotics. The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) is well known in the Pittsburgh area for providing excellent education in a variety of fields, and their reputation in robotics is no different. 

The program focuses on the integrated skills of supply chain, process technology, robotic and artificial intelligence, and more. The aim is to provide students with a thorough understanding and skill set across five major areas: computer programming, electrical systems, mechanical systems, robotics, and additive manufacturing. 

CCAC has also earned the ARM Endorsement for the value it provides for students looking to start their career in robotics.

The Binary Engineering Program at Duquesne University

Duquesne University’s Binary Engineering Program is a five-year program that is suitable for those who want to enter the robotics field as a robotics specialist.

The program is a collaboration between the Department of Physics at Duquesne and the School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh and Case Western Reserve University. Upon completion, students will receive a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. 

This dual-major approach ensures that students will receive a well-rounded education that will serve as an incredible foundation for a successful career in working with robotics and automation. The Industrial Engineering Program at the University of Pittsburgh

This is a four-year undergrad program at one of the area’s best engineering schools. Industrial Engineering students at the University of Pittsburgh will develop skills and knowledge in a variety of areas, including critical thinking, technological aptitude, problem solving, and many more.
