Appalachian State University is a public university in Boone, North Carolina. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Appalachian is one of 17 campuses in the University of North Carolina System, and it enrolls more than 20,000 students. The university offers more than 150 bachelor's degrees and 80 graduate degree and certificate programs, including two doctoral programs. Appalachian State University offers off-campus courses through three off-campus centers and online.
