The University of Alaska Anchorage is a public university located in Anchorage, Alaska established in 1954. UAA provides locally specific education opportunities throughout South Central Alaska with a collection of community campuses, facilities and research centers. The university offers a variety of academic program, campus resources, and community resources specifically for Alaska Natives, such as the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP), American Indian Sciences and Engineering, and Anchorage Realizing Indigenouse Student Excellence (ARISE).

The University of Alaska Anchorage offers a variety of certificate and degree programs in engineering, computer and networking technology, computer science, automotive technology, and project management. Their apprenticeship program allows students to obtain a nationally recognized certificate from the Department of Labor and 49 to 52 college credits towards the Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Technology. The Bachelors of Science in computer systems engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering are all ABET accredited programs.
