Macalester College

Macalester College is a private liberal arts college in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Founded in 1874, Macalester is exclusively an undergraduate four-year institution and enrolled 2,174 students in the fall of 2018 from 50 U.S. states, four U.S territories, the District of Columbia and 97 countries. Macalester’s unique metro location allows students to actively engage in their education through community-based learning and real-world experiences. More than 60 courses across 17 departments partner with businesses and organizations in the Twin Cities as part of the curriculum. 96% of Macalester's class of 2019 participated in volunteer work, academic community-based learning, or applied research during their time at the college.
