Messiah University is a nationally ranked, private Christian university with a student body of 3,370 undergraduate and graduate students. Our scenic 471-acre suburban campus is located in central Pennsylvania, just 12 miles from the state capital of Harrisburg. The University was founded in 1909 by the Brethren in Christ Church. Today, the University’s faith base is broadly evangelical and includes students and employees from a variety of denominations and Christian faith traditions.

What Messiah College can offer you.

We offer bachelor's degrees in 80+ majors. Specialized programs include off-campus study, research, service-learning, internships, partner programs with other institutions, three-year degree options and a flourishing University Honors Program. All of our graduate programs provide academic rigor and excellence through a convenient and flexible mix of learning options. Our nine programs include nine master’s degrees, two doctoral degrees, and numerous graduate certificates and post-master’s certificates. The coursework for most graduate programs is conducted primarily online, with some being fully online and others being fully residential.
