IBEW Local 743

In the heart of Reading, PA, IBEW Local 743 has put countless hours into providing quality training to build and grow southeast PA. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers has been in existence since November 28, 1891.  IBEW 743 of Reading, Pennsylvania itself was chartered on May 7, 1918 by its 14 original members. For over a hundred years now, Local 743 has been representing electricians in Berks, Schuylkill, Lancaster, Chester and Montgomery Counties. IBEW 743 also represents various other groups of employees in areas such as communication workers, technicians, installers and public works employees in some of our local townships. While IBEW 743 started with only 14 members, we are now over 600 members strong and steadily growing as we stand for better working conditions, better wages and better benefits.
