The only career and technical center within DPSCD to offer hands-on learning in the construction trades. Established September 8, 1981; A. Philip Randolph Career and Technical Center continues to lead the way in developing students in the area of construction trades, which includes: Masonry, HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration), Carpentry, Plumbing and Pipefitting, Welding for Construction Trades, Construction Electricity, Entrepreneurship and Project Manaement, Painting and Drywall Finishing.

Students receive work based learning opportunities that enable the student to connect what they learn in the classroom, and apply that knowledge to real work experiences. Upon completion of the construction trades programs here at Randolph; students will be prepared for the many career paths of architecture and construction or continue their education at a post-secondary school or apprenticeship program.
